What’s Up? – Humidity…

We had a mixture of very humid hot days last week, often sunny, but sometimes gray. The humidity adds an extra factor when the weather is hot like in Summer. The mugginess is unpleasant any way you feel it. This humid period is caused by the Tropical Storm Gordon that hit the Pensacola area in Florida (Gulf of Mexico).Β

We are rapidly approaching the Hurricane Season. Then, things will get more dangerous. It happens every year, sometimes the hurricanes are monstrously large and intense., with such power that would devastate many vast areas. These are extremely dangerous by any standards.

My backyard and birds are still here, like all of us, coping with the weather changes.

  1. I agree the humidity is not nice and makes for sweating and storms. We will start our humidity soon as the Summer weather moves in. I do hope you are spared from those terrible hurricanes HJ.

    • In fact there’s one hurricane that will touch land on two States on Thursday North of us (South Carolina and North Carolina). Most likely, we’ll get only heavy rain. Thank you Ashley! πŸ™‚

  2. Beautiful shots, HJ, I think the American Goldfinch is my fave this time. I am glad they look to be doing well through all this muggy humidity. You’re assistance with food and water is vital during this time, thanks so much! πŸ™‚

    • I’m sure you’d do the same in my case. Be alert of the approaching hurricane my friend. Thank you very much Donna. πŸ™‚
