Odd but Even

Once in a while, a person that watches birds frequently gets the opportunity to see something odd but not of any consequence. Like in the case of today’s featured bird, it’s a House Finch female that most likely is about the end of her molting process, as you may know, In birds, molting is the periodic replacement of feathers by shedding old feathers while producing new ones.

Of course, this House Finch in perfect health and will grow to be a breeding mother and have a normal family of her own.

I just wanted to show you how Nature sometimes can be a bit peculiar and give us a smile in the process.

Thank you Mother Nature! 😉
