  1. Such a cuty. My best memory of a White-Throated Sparrow was during my second hike of the Appalachian Trail. I was up on some ledges in Northern Maine, late May. The big guy was perched on the top of a bush yet to bloom. I looked at him from about 10 feet away. He puffed out his chest, tilted his head back and shouted as loud as he could, “Poor Sam Peabody, Peabody, Peabody.” A wonderful moment treasured forever.

    • Only a person that is deeply involved with birds would immediately understand what you felt in that occasion. Birds, can many times impress you with their behavior or lovely disposition.
